The Samsung UE40J6300 40-inch curved Smart TV delivers good performance with Full HD viewing and a range of Smart TV features. At 40-inches, this TV is the ideal size for many living rooms and it is big enough to take advantage of the screen curvature. It has Smart features for TV catch-up, On Demand, content streaming and more. It has a nice look, great picture quality and the features are user-friendly.
Starting with the screen, the user gets a fantastic viewing experience from the 40-inch curved LED screen. You get stunning visuals from the 1080p resolution and it has a 200 Hz processing rate for good motion clarity. The UE40J6300 uses the HyperReal picture engine for amazing detail and colour accuracy. At the optimal viewing angle, this TV provides and experience that is really something to behold.
As for the curved screen, it is a very nice feature. If you are sitting directly in front of the TV, you get depth and contrast that provide an almost 3D type of viewing experience. However, it does shorten the viewing angle a little bit. If you are sitting off to the side, you will notice a difference from the first-rate experience that you get right in front of the unit. Most noticeably, sitting off to the side seems to limit the contrast and depth that you get when you are positioned in the centre.
As far as the Smart features go, this TV provides one of the best platforms that you can find. It has a fast quad-core processor for a responsive user interface and it comes with tons of great apps for all of your favourite content providers. Along with that, you get the electronic program guide, screen mirroring with mobile devices, an internet browser and On Demand viewing.

This LED TV is also very good on connectivity. For the internet, you have the option of using the Ethernet port or you can connect wirelessly through a Wi-Fi connection and when it comes to connecting components, you have a decent amount of plugs to choose from. You have four HDMI plugs, a composite video, a component port and you have three spots to plug in a USB drive.
When it comes to the audio, this TV also does pretty well in comparison to many of the competitors. It is an onboard system, so there are definitely better sound options out there, but this model does offer a sound experience that many consumers will find to be more than adequate. It comes with two 10W speakers for stereo sound and it has Dolby Digital Plus and DTS Studio Sound.
The video below is actually a review of the 48″ model but other than size the two products are pretty much the same so we thought it might prove helpful in making up your mind. You can find out more about the 48″ model here and there is also a 32″ model which you can see here.
